...day of understanding his own words

Henry is growing so much. Last weekend he was 6 months old and this week he is so close to crawling.  He's nearly there.  At the moment he commando crawls, that's what his mum calls it. But his legs are starting to get tucked under and it wont be lang until we see the first proper crawls.

A little while ago he found his voice and his only word was mumumumum. That's what he called everything from his actual mum, to his dad, his nappy, the tv and even his milk bottle. But then I taiught him how to say dadada and everything soon became that (even mum) and he forgot how to say mumumumum.

Today though, he called me. When i went out the kitchen he called "Dada dada" and when I went back to the lounge he just smiled and bit schnorbitz (his toy dog), when I played with him on the floor, he looked me in the eye and said "dada dada". The difference between him saying it on previous occassions and today was that he actually looked like he knew what he was saying, he was actually trying to get my attention.  Other times he would look at me and say it quietly as though he was trying to get his pronounciation just right.  This is hugely momentus; remember this day, for on July 15th 2012, at the age of 6 months 1 week and 1 day, Henry understood how to communicate.

Who knows, by the end of this month he could be crawling properly and calling out to his mum and dad.  Next stop - lots of words, then sentences and then walking. OMG, as I said at the start, he's gowing so much.
